You, a Beginner Again?

It’s not easy being a beginner, especially for grown-ups.
It can take us way outside our comfort zone, make us feel silly, clumsy, awkward, self-judgmental.
That is why I applaud you for your courage and vision,
to confront these demons of doubt,
and give yourself the gift of pursuing something you love.
Besides, it’s really good for the brain!

What is it like for YOU to be a beginner?

    Hi Lisa,
you hit the nail on the head with this one. Being on the wrong side (or is it the right side) of 70 it certainly makes the grey matter work a lot harder. I seem to put in a lot of hours for not a lot of gain, however I also look at it this way, it is making my brain work. I have always enjoyed music and until these last couple of years have not been able to devote the time to music as I would have liked.

I know it all comes down to practice and I do enjoy that.

    Hello Lisa
I thought that these items were in addition to the guitar tricks lessons that I am already subscribed to. If I hit the unsubscribe button will that stop me from receiving emails from guitar tricks?
