This EASY four-step fingerpicking pattern is a POWERFUL BUILDING BLOCK for fingerstyle guitar.

Here it is, in 4 easy steps:
STEP 1: Play the sixth string (Low E) with a downward pluck of your thumb.
STEP 2: Pluck upwards on the first string (high E string) with your middle finger.
STEP 3: Pluck downwards on the third string (G string) with your thumb.
STEP 4: Pluck upwards on the second string (B string) with your index finger.
That’s it!
Repeat this pattern twice to complete one measure of music in 4.4 time.
As you get more comfortable with this, try gradually building up your speed and adding in some chord changes.
