Guitar Intuition is a unique audio ear-training program for guitar learners.
How does it work?
Designed for beginners, Guitar Intuition travels with you on your MP3 player or CD. Because you are learning by listening, you can be “practicing” guitar virtually anywhere, anytime.
Learn to recognize commonly played chords, discern major chords from minor chords, and analyze short chord sequences – all by ear.
Why ear-training?
Ear-training is a central component of any formal music study program, allowing music students to hone their ability to understand their instrument on a more intuitive level. However, many guitar learners are either self-taught, or learn to play guitar in an informal setting, missing out on the essential educational experience of basic ear-training.
What’s included?
Guitar Intuition is a downloadable audio program, which includes over 60 minutes of structured ear-training lessons in MP3 format, plus a 32-page Study Guide in PDF format. You may listen to the audio lessons on your computer, or transfer them to your MP3 player or a CD for complete portability. You may also print out your Guitar Intuition Study Guide, which contains full explanations and answers to all of the exercises in the program.
Who designed Guitar Intuition?
Lisa McCormick is a professional guitar educator who specializes in adult beginners. She created Guitar Intuition specifically to offer beginners and self-taught guitar players a unique educational experience to supplement and enhance their guitar learning process.

Great video very informative. I can’t agree more ear training is vital to becoming a good guitar player.
This is really great Lisa. Ear-skills when playing the guitar or any other instrument is really an essential. Sometimes it is what actually differentiates a pro from an amateur. A lot of guitar teachers are not including this kind of training in their lessons. May you be able to help a lot more aspiring guitar players.
Thanks, Paul! I do think the ear training program can really help build a guitar player’s intuitive understanding and confidence on the guitar, which leads to greater ease and freedom with playing the instrument. Thanks for your kind note!
