  1. Hi Lisa,

    Two questions.

I live in Australia so is the only option the on demand program and what is the difference between the 2 options?

I was a drummer in a band a “long time ago” so my rhythm and musical ear is still ok however I recently have taken up the guitar (electric and acoustic about 9 months ago) and get frustrated by knowing the sound and rhythms in my head but struggle to create this with my hands.

    How will this course help?

    Regards
    David

  2. Hi David-from-the-other-side-of-the-globe!

    Thanks for your note!

The difference between the on-demand and live programs is that during the live program,
you and I are able to communicate directly via voice and/or text. In other words,
you can ask questions or make comments to me directly, in real time.

The On-Demand program contains all the same content and materials,
but it is not interactive. It is essentially a video of the live presentation
that you can watch at your convenience.
Still, you can feel free to email me your questions at any time.

The Guitar Learner’s Magic Bullet is all about chord theory.
In other words, what does it mean to be “in the key of G”, for instance,
and how can you use that information to reasonably predict
what other chords are going to occur in the song.

This program does not get into rhythm, so I’m not sure if it is exactly what you’re looking for.

Still, it’s super-helpful stuff for guitar players who want to learn to figure out songs on their own,
transpose from one key to another, or write their own songs (I use it all the time myself).

But please know, this program is all about chords and key, not about rhythm. Maybe the next one!

If this sounds like it would be useful for you and your guitar playing,
I’d encourage you to try the On-Demand program.
If you feel it was not useful for you, there is a money-back guarantee.

    Be well, Lisa

  3. Hi again Lisa,

    Thanks for your response.

The course sounds very interesting but there is a lot of material out on the web that claims to be the “one you have been looking for”
I am trying to stay focused on the right material and direction that will build my playing skills in the quickest possible time as I have a lot of “lost” years to catch up on!
Music has been a life long interest and my goal with the guitar is not to perform but enjoy music as a hobby, therefore do not want to get to far into music theory, just to sound good.

Would you still recommend this course or is there others I should consider at this stage in my musical journey learning guitar (9 months)?
How does the 48 hours to access the program apply?

    Best Regards David

  4. Hi David,

You make a great point: one man’s “magic bullet” is another man’s, well, not sure where to go with this metaphor, but you get the point. There is no such thing as “something that will be perfect for everyone.”

For my students who have come to me looking for this chord theory information, it has been a great fit. In fact it was one of them who coined the term “magic bullet”. But, of course, they were looking for that specific information, and they found it here.

The information you are looking for may not be contained in one single product, program, or approach. As with any guitar learner, you have your own unique background, strengths, and interests.

FYI, the program does not plunge deeply into music theory – that is exactly the point of it. I have extracted some specific music theory concepts and applied them directly to the guitar (chords and keys, specifically), for people who don’t want to get overloaded with theory, but just want to improve their understanding of the instrument in a fast and direct way.

I am working on a free mini-segment of the program, so folks like yourself can view it and make a more informed decision as to whether or not it would be a good fit for them. That will be posted very soon.

Meanwhile, the price has dropped to $14.95, and the viewing window extended to 30 days. And there is a money-back guarantee if you take the program, and feel it was not useful to you.

Thanks again for your thoughts and questions.

    Best wishes, Lisa

  5. Hello again Lisa,

How far off is the mini segment?

    Regards David

  6. Hi David,

It’s in the pipeline. By that, I mean that the footage has been filmed, and is in the queue to be edited and posted.
There are several other projects on the table as well, some bigger, some smaller.
Can’t give an exact date, but it is well beyond the “idea” stage, and firmly in the “get this done” stage.
I’ll do my best to get it out as soon as possible!

  7. I read a good review of your Chord Theory on another site , which brought me here. I am a beginner and I am confused much of the time, or maybe overwhelmed by the thought of taking on something so seemingly vast.. so anything that will simplify and make this appear more reachable would keep me motivated to continue and this sounds like it could be the right direction.
Curious if the video will be available to save on my computer to review again and again, or will this be a limited access ‘window’.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and caring bout us newbies!
    susi

  8. Hi Susi,

    Thanks for your note!

I designed this course with beginners in mind, and 100% of the students who have participated
have said that it’s just the right amount of information.
Not too much, not too little.
Many of them are beginners, or re-beginners,
and find the presentation extremely useful and helpful.

Also, just today, I put up a post with a free mini-lesson
that gets into a little bit of the theory that is presented in the full lesson.
I offer this so you can get a taste of my teaching style, and a flavor of the material.

Please go take this mini-lesson and let me know what you think.

At this point, the On-Demand webinar is available to you
for a full 30 days after you register,
during which you may watch it as many times as you like.
I promise, it is not an overwhelming amount of information!

Plus, you may download the Guitar Learner’s Magic Bullet Handbook,
which outlines the entire lesson in detail. It’s a great “guitar case” resource.

Also, if you take the on-demand webinar and feel it was not useful to you,
    I offer a full money-back guarantee.

    Aw, c’mon – give it a try!
What have you got to lose?
